A 26-year-old single cask from Tobermory bottled by North Star as part of Cask Series 16.
This was distilled March 1995 and bottled July 2021 as a 26-year-old. Matured in a refill hogshead that yielded 238 bottles at 51%.

Official Tasting Notes:
Nose: Salty air, barley, hints of juicy pears and mineral notes.
Palate: Vanilla custard tarts, stewing peppermint tea and a fistful of fresh mint leaves.
Finish: Long, salted caramel, more hints of menthol and fresh green apples.
This is an unpeated expression from the Tobermory distillery (peated whiskies appear under the name Ledaig), located on the Isle of Mull. The distillery utilises relatively short fermentation runs in tangent with stills designed to maximise reflux. The result is a spirit which is rich and coastal, yet at the same time full of sweet fruit and malt notes.
North Star have quickly become one of The Oak Barrel's favourite independent bottlers. Exceptional cask selections at very reasonable prices, they are exciting, fun whiskies - even when they're very serious - which are designed to be drunk and shared.
