This limited release from Kilchoman is a whopper. 61 Ex-PX barrels were aged for 5 (or more) years, before being vatted together and bottled at 50%. This release also shares the new standard PPM for Kilchoman, being 50ppm.
We cannot stress this any harder. This spirit is rich, full bodied and oily in that classic Kilchoman way, with the cask driven flavours perfectly padded by that savoury Kilchoman spirit.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet sultanas and raisins with rounded peat smoke and layers of liquorice and hints of citrus sweetness.
Taste: Brown sugar and malty sweetness then orange peel, citrus, dark chocolate and waves of sherry sweetness.
Finish: Chocolate-coated raisins, oak smoke, mixed spices and lasting PX sweetness.
Founded in 2005, Kilchoman was the first new distillery to be built on Islay in over 124 years. Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder, set out to resurrect the grass roots tradition of farm distilling. Since then, they have become a well renowned distillery.
