The latest in Kilchoman's cask finished limited releases, this excellent single malt is a second coming of the 2020 Fino cask release. The 2023 Fino Sherry Cask Matured limited edition is a vatting of 20 Fino Sherry Butts, previously used by Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin (Spain), in which the spirit matures for a minimum of 5 years. 50% abv.
Official Tasting Notes:
Nose: Fresh citrus notes with peated malt and butterscotch sweetness
Palate: Honeycomb sweetness, light peat smoke, flaked almonds and candied fruits
Finish: Lasting sweetness, balancing with subtle peat smoke and citrus
Founded in 2005, Kilchoman was the first new distillery to be built on Islay in over 124 years. Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder, set out to resurrect the grass roots tradition of farm distilling. Since then, they have become a well renowned distillery.
