From our buyer:
Fun, juicy and bright with a bunch of pineapple on the nose. A definite crowd-pleaser, this is a great introduction to a modern style of sake designed for western glassware: try in a wine glass, or if you're feeling adventurous, on the rocks!

From the dsitributor:
A fresh and juicy sake with fruity aromas. Sweet with notes of banana and pear balanced with noticeable tartness and light body. Smooth and clean on the palate, very easy drinking. This is not your usual sake, brewed with the image of white wine and to enjoy in a wine glass!

About the producer:
"Yonezawa Shuzo hails from Nakagawa Village in Nagano, where they have been brewing sake with only locally-sourced rice and water from the Southern Alps of Japan since 1907. The founder, Yasotarou Yonezawa was a sumo wrester who competed in local tournments under the name 'Imanishiki, which has since been used as their name of their sake. Mainly brewed with Miyamanishiki rice (a Nagano specialty), all of Imanishiki sake is pressed using the traditional 'fune' method. This is the most traditional method of sake pressing, but is also time and labour intensive, and creats a light and vibrant taste."
