Poachers Vineyard - Incredible Canberra District Quality

It’s always pleasant to come across new producers making delicious wines from smaller regions in Australia, it’s even more pleasant when finding out these wines certainly won’t break the bank. Hence why we were delighted to welcome the wines of Poachers Vineyard this week.

Based in the centre of the Canberra District wine region between Murrumbateman and Canberra city, the Poachers vineyard rests on rich, granite hills planted with both red and white varieties.

Now headed up by Will Bruce, the second generation winemaker, the Poachers Vineyard range sees Will work with 6 wines in total, including Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. This range of wines comes of organically managed vineyards on the rolling hills of the estate.

This week we’re highlighting the Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, both wines are delicious and approachable, with great gastronomic versatility. Certainly punching way above their price point, proving yet again that the Canberra District is home to fantastic wines at great value.
