Merite Wines - Powerful and Elegant Wrattonbully Expressions

Merite Wines is situated in the Joanna section of the Wrattonbully wine region, nestled just above Coonawarra. Established in 2000 by Mike Kloak and Colleen Miller, they set about with a distinct focus to producing high quality Australian Merlot. 

Wrattonbully is slightly higher in elevation and has a higher than average daytime temperature than other South Australian regions. Mike and Colleen noticed that they're vineyard site and soil were ideal for producing the right bank and left bank varieties made famous in Bordeaux. 

With the Merlot being the flagship wine for Merite Wines, and rightfully so with its impeccable quality, Merite Wines also produce small single vineyard quantities of Cabernet, Shiraz, Malbec, and Merlot. These wines show incredible quality across the board, with incredible aging potential.
