A whisky hybrid creation from the Archie Rose distillery and St Ali coffee house.
This takes Archie Rose single malt whisky, which would usually be brought down from cask strength to bottling strength with water. In this instance they've used water as well as cold drip coffee for that process, creating a product that is highly whisky at its core but with a coffee twist.
From the distillery, "The coffee notes have amplified our Single Malt Whisky's chocolate and specialty roasted malts, and the result is an even richer and more expressive flavour profile than the sum of its parts. Blasphemy opens with notes of stewed apples, plum jam and fresh berries, then follows through into creme caramel, roasted hazelnuts, amaretto and dark chocolate."
