A limited edition bottling from Archie Rose, intended to be a Cellar Door, and Travel Retail exclusive. As Archie Rose has grown over the years, one of the most exciting developments has been their rum. As they have experimented with different casks, and differing grades of molasses, they have produced some excellent rums. This has paid dividends with their rum cask aged single malt, brimming with tropical fruits and a buffet of desserts.
Official Tasting Notes:
Palate: The nose opens with sticky date pudding, amaretto and peaches dipped in melted brown sugar. A second visit shows deeper notes of walnut bread, marzipan and raisins.
Palate: A velvety opening of stone fruit, rich caramel and rum and raisin ice cream transitions into a weighty mid-palate of bananas and peaches roasted in spice.
Finish: Butterscotch and tropical fruits mingle with deeper notes of toasted oak, chocolate and espresso.
