'Lightly fortified, from the Eastern Vineyard, planted in 1940
Gary Walsh: A bit of lift and whiff of potato peelings via fortification, honey, lavender and thyme, flavour picks up and the palate, layering in saline, savoury walnut flavour with pineapple and lime, a little belt of alcohol warmth, a gently gluggy texture cut with some powdery texture and alcohol, the finish all sweet and savoury. Idiosyncratic thing, but no doubt an interesting wine. 91 points
Mike Bennie: Brilliant sweet wine built around crème brulee, amontillado, rancio, lemon curd, floral things and a dusting of icing sugar. Intense and oily to taste, concentrated lime curd, mandarin jellies, very sticky and intense with incredible length and sumptuous mouthfeel. Creamy, boozey in a way, intense and very, very long. Really good, and that fortification lifts things nicely. 94 points'
