Oak Barrel Rewards

These Terms and Conditions form the basis of the Oak Barrel Rewards Program. All Members are bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Membership
1.1 Only individuals over the age of 18 years may apply to be Members of the Rewards Program. Membership is free.
1.2 The Oak Barrel may accept or reject any application for Membership, in its absolute discretion.
1.3 On acceptance by The Oak Barrel, an applicant will be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as varied from time to time, and will be issued with a Membership number but will be identified by their email address.
1.4 These Terms and Conditions will apply to all Rewards Program transactions, whether before or after these Terms and Conditions become binding.
1.5 Rewards Program Membership will become effective when the Membership email address is activated by or on behalf of The Oak Barrel.
1.6 A Member must notify The Oak Barrel of any change of name, or email address, or other details as soon as possible after the change, by emailing The Oak Barrel at sales@oakbarrel.com.au or notifying a staff Member in-store. The Member must provide their new details and any requested security information when they make these changes. The Oak Barrel does not accept any responsibility for any failure of a Member to notify The Oak Barrel correctly of any such changes.
1.7 The Oak Barrel may terminate a Membership in the Rewards Program without notice for any reason including, without limitation, if the Member:
1.7.1 Fails to comply with these Membership Terms and Conditions.
1.7.2 Abuses any privilege accorded to the Member under the Rewards Program
1.7.3 Supplies any misleading information or makes any misrepresentations to The Oak Barrel in connection with the Rewards Program; or
1.7.4 If the Member does not use their Membership for a continuous period of 12 months. After 12 months, if points are not earned or spent, the entire points balance will expire, and the Member’s details may be removed from the system
1.8 A Member may terminate their Membership in the Rewards Program at any time by giving written notice to The Oak Barrel via email to sales@oakbarrel.com.au . Upon receipt of such notice, the Member’s contact details will deleted from the Rewards Program database and the Member’s points balance cancelled.

2. Use of The Oak Barrel Rewards Program
2.1 Members agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions
2.2 Membership application does not qualify as a credit account application and is not transferable.
2.3 Any tax, liability, or duty arising from a Member’s participation in the Rewards Program is the responsibility of the Member.
2.4 If a Membership email or number is used without the Member’s authority, the Member must notify The Oak Barrel as soon as possible. The Member is liable for all use of their Membership email or Membership details until they notify The Oak Barrel of unauthorised use.

3. Rewards Points
3.1 When making a Rewards Program qualifying purchase the Member will earn Rewards Points at a rate set by The Oak Barrel, and this can be modified at any time. Changes will be reflected in these Terms and Conditions. Rewards Points will be earned as follows:
3.1.1 Beer purchase: 10 Rewards Points per $1.00 spent
3.1.2 Spirits or Non-liquor purchase: 10 Rewards Points per $1.00 spent
3.1.3 Wine purchase: 10 Rewards Points per $1.00 spent
3.1.4 Rewards Points will also be allocated for joining the Rewards Program and for various marketing activities such as following on Facebook etc as defined by The Oak Barrel. Bonus points may also be allocated from time to time for various promotional activities.
3.1.5 3.1.5 Rewards points will be capped at 50,000 ($5,000) on a single product.
3.2 Rewards Points will be credited to a Member’s account, as defined in the Rewards Program by The Oak Barrel. Rewards Points may also be credited to a Member’s account for promotional and incentive programs offered by The Oak Barrel from time to time.
3.3 In order to obtain Rewards Points, a Member must provide the contact details linked with their Rewards Program before the conclusion of a purchase transaction.
3.4 Rewards Points and the rights they confer cannot be sold, transferred, converted to cash, assigned or otherwise dealt with except in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
3.5 An entire points balance will expire if points are not earned or spent in a 12-month period. The Oak Barrel will attempt to notify Members of the cancelling of these points, but shall not be liable in any way if the Member fails to earn or spend points before points expire.

4. Redeeming Points
4.1 In order to redeem Rewards Points, a Member must apply for a relevant coupon at a cost as defined by The Oak Barrel, which can be modified at any time. The Member may be asked to provide their name and Membership email address when claiming and using coupons instore and online. The Oak Barrel may also request proof of identification.
4.2 The Oak Barrel reserves the right to modify or cancel coupons, rewards and lounge benefits at any time.
4.3 Coupons can only be redeemed once.
4.4 If you redeem your coupon online for a purchase less than the full value of the coupon, the balance of the coupon is not redeemable on another purchase.
4.5 If you return any of the items purchased with a coupon, the coupon discount or value may be subtracted from the return credit.

5. Other Deductions of Rewards Points
5.1 In addition to deductions for awards claimed, The Oak Barrel will deduct from the Rewards Points balance in a Member’s account, any Rewards Points credited in error and any Rewards Points relating to a transaction which is cancelled or reversed or where a refund is given.

6. The Oak Barrel VIP Lounges
6.2 The Oak Barrel has established a 3-tier VIP Membership Program:
6.2.1 Everyday Members
6.2.2 Oak Barrel Enthusiasts
6.2.3 Oak Barrel Connoisseurs
6.3 New Members will, by default, be allocated to the Everyday Members tier
6.4 Holding the requisite points balance does not automatically grant admission to the Oak Barrel VIP tiers, access must be requested by the customer, approved by The Oak Barrel and the points balance reduced in accordance with the points-cost of admission, as set by The Oak Barrel and subject to change, without prior notice, and published on The Oak Barrel website
6.5 When approved by The Oak Barrel, Membership to the Enthusiast and Connoisseur tiers will be granted for a 12-month period
6.5.1 Oak Barrel Enthusiast: 10,000 points
6.5.2 Oak Barrel Connoisseur: 50,000 points
6.6 VIP Membership will be reviewed bi-annually and automatically renewed if Members meet the minimum spend of $5,000 (Connoisseur) or $1,000 (Enthusiast) in the preceding 12 months.
6.7 The Oak Barrel will attempt to notify Members by email when their VIP Membership is nearing expiry. The Oak Barrel shall not be liable, in any way, if the Member fails to action re-admission prior to expiry. 
6.8 Members who do not meet the minimum annual spend requirements will be automatically migrated down one tier of the Oak Barrel Membership hierarchy, and in so doing forego all benefits and access afforded to Members of the Enthusiast or Connoisseur tiers until re-admission has been approved and granted by The Oak Barrel
6.8.1 Re-admission after annual Enthusiast or Connoisseur Membership has lapsed, will incur the full points-cost of admission
6.9 The Oak Barrel reserves the right to admit Members to VIP tiers at the Oak Barrel’s discretion for promotional activities
6.10 The Oak Barrel reserves the right to expel Members from VIPs tiers if Members:
6.10.1 Fail to comply with these Membership Terms and Conditions
6.10.2 Abuse any privilege accorded to Members under the Rewards Program or VIP tiers
6.10.3 Supply any misleading information or make any misrepresentations to The Oak Barrel in connection with the Rewards Program or VIP tiers

7. Privacy
7.1 This applies to all personal information of Rewards Program Members held in The Oak Barrel database. We respect the privacy of Member’s personal information in our care and will collect personal information in a fair and lawful manner.

7.2.1 The Privacy Policy may be reviewed and updated from time to time. An up-to-date version of The Oak Barrel Privacy Policy will be published on The Oak Barrel website.

8. Website
8.1 Access to and use of The Oak Barrel website is subject to all applicable laws and is at the user’s own risk. The site and its contents may be incomplete and may contain faults or errors.
8.2 Users of The Oak Barrel website assume all risks associated with the website’s files and programs.
8.3 The Oak Barrel assumes no responsibility for the information practices of third-party websites where a user is able to access their websites through The Oak Barrel website, and encourages users to review each website’s privacy policy before disclosing any personally identifying information.

9. General
9.1 The Oak Barrel reserves the right to make any changes at any time without prior notice and at The Oak Barrel’s absolute discretion, to:
9.1.1 The Terms and Conditions
9.1.2 The Rewards Program
9.1.3 The Oak Barrel VIP tiers
9.1.4 Rewards which are qualifying rewards
9.1.5 The basis on which Rewards Points are earned
9.2 The Oak Barrel will use its best endeavours to give Members reasonable notice of these changes by such means as The Oak Barrel considers to be reasonable, including by email and by posting details of the changes on The Oak Barrel website, but will not be liable in any way if Members do not receive such notice
9.3 The Oak Barrel reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Rewards Program at any time without prior notice. The Oak Barrel will not be liable for the suspension or termination of the Rewards Program on any account whatsoever including (without Limitation) for any Rewards Points balance in a Member’s account at the time of suspension or termination.
9.4 A notice shall be deemed to be given by The Oak Barrel to a Member if it is sent to the email address of the Member, appearing in The Oak Barrel Rewards Program database.
9.5 It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years. Members of the Rewards Program may be asked to provide identification that proves that they are over 18 years of age. Membership of The Oak Barrel Rewards Program does not constitute valid proof of age identification.
