The latest edition of Michel Couvreur's regular collaboration with Stéphane Tissot. This year's release is notably a year older than the previous, sitting at 9 Years of age. A vatting of 6 non-rinsed Vin Jaune barrels, this regular release is a favourite amongst MC fans, and lovers of a more rich and somewhat funky palate alike.

This is a personal favourite of ours, working well as both an "aperitif-style" dram, or as something complex to chew on during these dark, winter nights. 2500 bottles, 48% and as always, zero filtration and a wax seal.

Oak Barrel Tasting Notes:

"Rich, elegant, with a soft spice. Huge sweet spice, oxidative notes on the nose, with a more refined palate similar to how Fino cask malts can be. Slightly vegetal, cinnamon gum, raisins and a long, well balanced finish. Love it."

Michel Couvreur whiskies are, in fact, Scotch whiskies which are shipped to France as new make and matured in caves in the Burgundy region. It's the maturation climate and discipline in the choice of casks that make these expressions remarkably unique. The Scottish distilleries behind the spirit are kept a secret, but we know that over the years they have sourced new make spirit from each of Scotland's whisky producing regions
