Named after the local town of the same name, the Glenglassaugh Portsoy aims to capture the rich spirit of the seaside fishing towns of the Scottish Highlands. Featuring a mixture of Bourbon, Sherry and ex Port casks, this realise is heavy and savoury, with a soft sea-salt caramel note running throughout.

Official Tasting Notes:

Nose: Rich maritime waves infused with tropical fruit and sherried dark soy, rolling into port with liquorice and sea kelp.

Finish: Full-bodied with dark chocolate, fermented soy and charred mango with treacle and a crack of sea salt.

Currently under the control of the Brown Forman group, it's an incredibly exciting time for Glenglassaugh. The distillery was mothballed from 1986-2008, and it has since passed hands to the Benriach group, which was later acquired by Brown Forman. Under this new stewardship it's receiving the love it deserves, as it quietly produces some of the best whisky in the Highlands (in our opinion).
