The first Backwoods Rye release featuring spirit aged in American oak, ex-Australian corn whiskey casks. Aged for 3+ years, this spirit has a pleasant, bright and earthy rye characteristic, from its 60% Rye mash bill, which is followed by soft, floral and sweet notes. Bottled at 46%.

Backwoods distillery in Yackandandah was founded in 2017 with the view to creating spirits that speak to the climate and flavours of the Victorian high country. They source their local grains from Voyager in the Riverina region and double distill through a 1,250 litre still built by Burns Welding in Griffith.
