The Lakes Whisky Maker's Reserve No. 6 Single Malt English Whisky

The 6th Edition from The Whisky Makers Reserve series. This batch focuses on Oloroso, PX & Spanish Red Wine seasoned casks, using both American & Spanish Oak. Deep in colour and flavour, this batch oozes red fruit and complex wood tannins and spice, which is only amplified by the spirit's naturally fruity style. Perfect as a midwinter dessert.  Or Lunch, or Breakfast.  We don't judge.

Nose: Red currants, cranberry, plum, blackcurrants and hints of raspberry and strawberry. The red fruits then mingle with sticky date pudding, freshly baked strawberry tarts and a floral tropical note.

Palate: Creamy and smooth almost buttery, lashings of red fruits which are now accompanied by raisins, sultanas, warm honey and soft toffee notes.

Finish: Red fruits and dark fruits dance on the tongue, floral hibiscus notes and lingering drying oak spice.

The Lakes Distillery is situated in the Lake District National Park in Northern England. It operated quietly after being founded in 2011 until it was awarded Best Single Malt at the World Whisky Awards. The distillery has since thrived, gaining a major following, especially for its "Whisky Maker's" Edition series. The distillery values responsible production methods, both for preserving quality, but also environmentally and socially, ontop of making some of the best spirit South of the Scottish border.
