“Grown in the Wirrega vineyard in Mundulla, Limestone Coast. Fermented in 2 picking bins in John’s implement shed while the winery was being finished, this is one of the first wines made at Wangolina’s new winemaking facility. Hand-plunged and on skins for 19 days. Matured for 10 months in seasoned oak to allow some softening of the grape tannin without significant oak influence.
The Wangolina Montepulciano is a medium bodied, fleshy and fun red wine. Black cherry, black olive, and rosemary characters along with it’s signature dried oregano flavour and thyme complement the rustic Italianate tannins.”
