‘Some of the growers are certified organic, some are conventionally farmed. Sussex wine producer Tillingham is at the forefront of avant garde wine styles and committing to land under vine (including 21 varieties of late, hybrid, Germanic and other). Pinot noir, auxerrois, chardonnay, meunier. Some qvevri in the mix. Not really a col fondo, kind of innoculated with sugary wine to kick off the fizz.
Tangy, tart and very racy, distinctly steely and lemony, a starburst of grapefruity zing to finish. Brisk and breathtaking with its freshness and palate zapping freshness. Bright, clean bubbles, a little yeasty funk and cashew nuttiness in the mix.’ – 91 points. Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
