A 35-year-old single cask whisky from the grain distillery Cameronbridge, bottled by Signatory Vintage.
Distilled 5 December 2006 and bottled 27 August 2020. This was matured in a hogshead barrel #19298, with 220 bottles at 54%.
One of Scotland’s – and Europe’s – biggest grain distilleries, Cameronbridge produces spirit for a number of purporses. Owned by Diageo, it’s a big part of most of their blends but is also seen overseas under the ‘Cameron Brig’ single grain bottling. It is also responsible for Haig Club.
Generally a classic single grain, with butterscotch, vanilla and caramels, every so often exceptional single cask will be snapped up by an independent bottler and released to the drinking public.Â
Exceptional value for a whisky this age that has, as is often the case with single grains, held a strong ABV level at 54%.
