This Signatory Vintage bottling was distilled at the Glentauchers Distillery in 2012. It was matured in 1st fill Oloroso Sherry Butts for no less than 11 years and in 2024 was bottled at 57.1% alc/vol as part of the Signatory Vintage 100 Proof range. This whisky has no added colouring and is non-chillfiltered.

Nose: Lovely dark fruits and red berries, orange segments, spicy oak and subtle vanilla.
Palate: A strong hit of alcohol then there’s a wonderful drying oak, bursting with fruit and spice. Plenty of red fruits with a hint of tobacco leaf.
Finish: Medium to long, drying oak with dark fruits and spice.
Glentauchers Distillery is a Speyside distillery which mainly produces whisky for blends, initially Buchanan’s and Black & White, and these days Ballantine’s. The distillery was founded in 1897 by W P Lowrie, a Glasgow-based whisky trader, and James Buchanan, a renowned blender. The distillery was built on the Tauchers farm which sits four miles west of the town of Keith. The distillery boasts long fermentation and slow distillation making the whisky more floral and light than earthy and weighty.
Signatory Vintage are one of the veterans of Independently Bottled Scotch Whisky. Founded in 1988 by Andrew and Brian Symington. The name ‘Signatory’ was derived from the initial intention to find a person of suitable standing to sign the labels for bottles drawn from a single cask. They have one of the most well regarded stores of single cask Scotch Whisky in the industry, with a focus on high quality spirit, bottled without the need for Chill Filtration, always at natural colour. Signatory covers the entire range of whisky drinkers, with their high end Cask Strength Single Casks offering complex and rare whiskies at the high end, while their Unchillfiltered Collection provides some of the best value single malts and grains around.
