“A new-ish project out of the Hunter Valley, making wines in a quasi-collective at Becker winery, and sourcing locally and from other NSW wine regions. One to watch.
This has guzzle factor and character. Lots of brambly, poached forest berry characters met with white pepper, bay leaf, turned earth and cinnamon spice characters. Soft and warming with a haze of lightly chompy tannin, a long, palate staining finish and a general sense of ripe fruit controlled by its varied spice and acid elements. A wintery red, albeit with freshness on its side. Lots of charm here. 92pts.”
