Once a staple, stock shortages of Japanese whisky have forced Suntory to shelve this release – with the last remaining stocks set to filter through in 2019.
Built in 1973, Hakushu was at one point the biggest malt whisky distillery in the world. Its whiskies showcase a variety of styles, but the single malts usually showcase fresh foresty and floral notes with a delicate background smoke.
