The Yamazaki 1984 is one of the rarest and most collectible whiskies to have been released by Suntory. It is comprised entirely of 25-year-old Yamazaki whisky that was distilled in 1984 and matured in American oak, European oak and Japanese Mizunara oak casks, before being bottled in 2009 at 48% abv. The release went on to win Best Single Malt Whisky in the World at the 2011 World Whisky Awards.
Only 2,800 bottles were produced in celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Yamazaki brand; very few of these made their way out of Japan and today scarcely any bottles remain. We have available for sale bottle no. 2,527 of 2,800.
