A rather exciting bottling by Whisky Jury, this 2015 Long Pond was bottled at 7 Years Old, with an initial ester range of 500-700. This vibrancy and fruitiness is maintained after its time spent aging transcontinentally, and at a hearty 62.2% all this comes through in a punchy manner on the palate. A few drops of water opens this up and allows it to develop on the palate, finishing dry with toasted spices.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Papaya, pineapple and aromatic spices
Palate: More tropical high-ester notes. Ripe banana and subtle oak come through
Finish: lingering cinnamon and nutmeg with a hint of guava.
