“A strange thing to say, but these wines put me in mind of the earlier vintages of Pyramid Hill.
Poached strawberry, spice, dried rose, kind of mulchy and autumnal. Light to medium-bodied, ripe strawberry and rhubarb with a twist of blood orange, silty tannin, something of an umami/mushroom character too, and a zesty spicy finish of excellent length. Individual, yes, and also pretty engaging with it. I like it. 94pts.”
