“Since we planted this variety in 2007, it has flourished in the cool climate of our coastal environment. A reliably crisp and ultimately approachable wine, the slower ripening ensures layers of complexity and texture to add interest to this wine. Typically vinified in stainless steel, with a generous portion spending time in our Foudre to accentuate the depth of flavour.
The 2023 Pinot Gris is a particularly fragrant year of pear blossom and honeysuckle. The palate is delightfully textural of white stonefruit and hints of spice and vanilla. A gorgeous wine, and one of the favourites at the Wangolina Cellar Door.”
