“The fruit is sourced from a spectacular Chardonnay vineyard in the Padthaway region, with great sunlight hours & cool nights to allow maximum aromatic expression whilst retaining natural acidity. Treated very gently in the winery with little intervention, but loads of attention. 50% of the juice was split off into high quality conditioned oak which develops texture & richness, whilst the other 50% was held in stainless to retain that signature Padthaway freshness & vitality.
Pretty florals of white orchard & citrus blossom, accompanied by notes of white peach, golden apple & honeydew melon. The palate has immediate comfort & generosity that chardonnay provides, coating every corner of the mouth. Fleshy white peach & brown pear with flecks of lemon rind & apple skin. Complex with a salivating finish & sherbet acidity.”
