“Picked in late April. Stainless steel and oak employed after an overnight skin ferment. Some botrytised elements in there too. It holds 41 grams residual sugar. Spatlese-esque.
It’s soft and sweet, frisky with acidity, a crunch to texture and plenty of zesty citrus, crunchy red apple, feijoa, green melon in the mesh of perfume and flavours. Slips through the palate with ease and pleasantly, gingery elements chime in in flavours, a cool, slightly alpine herb finish is pleasing. A really lovely gobful of pleasing, sweeter but well judged riesling on hand. Lots of charm and charisma. Strong recommend for this idiom from Australia. 93pts.”
