“Dark in color, with a brownish and creamy foam, Grand Cru is a rich, full and powerful beer with a delicious long aftertaste.
We find complex and surprisingly sweet aromas given the high degree of alcohol, subtly hidden.
The caramel mousse and roundness on the palate are in perfect harmony with a medium bitterness and coffee tastes. Produced with heavily roasted malt from which it gets a more acidic taste.

Val Dieu Grand Cru is an unfiltered and unpasteurized top-fermented brown abbey beer brewed within the confines of an abbey.
With a dark brown color with glowing reflections typical of quadruple style beers, this Val Dieu Grand Cru is adorned with an abundant beige-colored foam, from this hat escapes aromas of toast, malt, chocolate and Port .
Once this beer is in the mouth, we discover distinct roasted flavors and present hops.
Sweet notes reminiscent of caramel and soft notes of coffee and nuts are perfectly balanced by a medium bitterness. To fully appreciate its taste qualities, Saveur Bière advises you to let it mature for a year before tasting it in its Val Dieu glass.” – Brasserie de l’Abbaye du Val-Dieu
