The ridge at Magpie Springs ripens early with resolved tannins and good acid. It’s what got us started down this path in the first place. Substance with lightness, complexity, age ability and detail. Climbing under nets and vines to hand pick across rows, picking spaced over several days – not the easiest way. We want to see some of this cellared for the long term. Some whole bunch, hand plunged, some extended maceration building depth, elevage in old French, bottle aged for resolution.
