“‘Alberaia’ refers to a small group of trees typical of the landscape surrounding Casole d’Elsa. The wine is a gentle expression of Sangiovese typical of the territory. Pietro Caciorgna Alberaia is fermented in stainless steel and then aged in French barrels for 10 months. Alberaia presents light aromas of blueberries that are reinforced on the palate. Well balanced, light acidity, medium body and a nice round finish on the mid-palate. Alberaia has an easy going personality, which offers pleasant and uncomplicated company at any occasion. Pair with white meats and lighter game eg. pheasant quail. Also great with grilled vegetables, tomato based sauces and pasta dishes”
