Deeper and fleshy with some tropical hints and salty texture!
“Two south-facing plots go into this wine. The younger one was planted in 1983, the older and larger one in 1978. Extremely poor soil with low water capacity leads to very low yields and great concentration. The Red ‘Butter’ Sandstone is crumbly and porous leading to a wildly unique aromatic profile of mango, pineapple and meadow herbs. Grapes picked and pressed to old barrels and amphora. Small so2 addition in the lead up to bottling.”
