“Bernie Swaby’s Garden Block lies next to the Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens, established to benefit from the cool air currents descending from Mt Lofty in the Adelaide Hills. Average winter rains were followed by a mild summer. Yields were low with light bunches of excellent quality. Hand-picked on the 30th of March, destemmed and pressed to French oak puncheons (30% new, Damy), 80% malolactic fermentation, matured for 11 months on yeast lees, filtered and bottled. 1380 bottles produced. Alc 13.3%.”

“Succulence and tension define the rivulets of freshness, citrus and stone fruits as they teem long, buttressed by impeccably placed oak.”
