“This is the best albarino I have tried in Australia, year on year. There, I said it. Ollie Margan at the helm.
It delivers texture, vibrancy, a saline. thirst-slaking minerality, nuance of nutty savouriness and a core of concentrated, vibrant, just-ripe fruit spectrum flavours and aromas. It’s pretty in perfume, green almond, nashi pear, tonic water and sea spray, the palate doing a similar trick with a slick to texture, an almost brittle trill of saline, briny liveliness, that slip of the green almond from the bouquet, finishing the wine pleasingly bitter and fresh. Perhaps just a touch cloying to go next level, but forgivable in the general gist. Wonderful drinking. 93pts.”
