“A dark, brooding, and complex wine. On the nose, there’s a combination of earthy and mushroomy broth or truffle-like aromas nestled amongst cedar, wild raspberries, satsuma plums, and a hint of white pepper. Still juvenile, the wine is still tightly coiled on the palate. There is a juiciness from the primary fruit exhibited as plum, rhubarb, and wild mulberries. There is a savoury edge with the tannin and acid giving a tactile influence on the palate and lending drive and length to the wine. The tannins are varietally Cabernet yet fine and controlled to enhance the palate.”
