“Produced out of the Hunter Valley but here a Tumbarumba chardonnay. And while cool climate sourced, the wine speaks more fluently of a very appealing, old school, good school flavour profile.
A core of racy, limey acidity with faint brine and tart, green apple mobbed by peach and honey-butter with elements of nougat in tow. That being said, decidedly medium weight despite the flavoursome aspects of the wine, and, importantly, distinctly refreshing even with gloss to texture. Classic lines, complex and layered, sits up high in the palate and refreshes while still offering palate staining sweetness, nuttiness and the layers of fruit character. Wonderful stuff. 93pts.”
