Predominately whole bunch malbec, with some whole bunch cabernet sauvignon, de-stemmed shiraz and de-stemmed cabernet sauvignon and sauvignon blanc co-ferment. At first this wine was a stemmy wild beast but after its terrible twos it has really come into itself. When you bottle preservative free the stem and wood fades from the wine and the fruit slowly starts to come to the front, just as has happened here. It’s perfectly in balance and what a delight to release a wine at its optimum drinking window.
