“The Oakey Creek vineyard is at the southern end of Pokolbin.
The surrounding land consists of alluvial sandbased soils are where Semillon grows best due to
abundant sub-soil water availability and high mineral content.
This particular vineyard was planted over 70 years ago, is hand-picked and basket pressed.
Cool fermentation in stainless steel followed by six months of post ferment lees contact has
produced an aromatic and complex Semillon. This style of wine is ideally served alongside
fresh seafood, vegetarian antipasto and is great with all alfresco summer occasions.
The wine drinking great now but reward patient cellaring for up 10 years resulting in a richer
fuller flavoured wine.”
