The Arran Barrel Reserve is about as clean and elegant as modern malts get. The spirit is aged entirely in bourbon casks, making for a light, elegant spirit that absolutely melts into the palate. The simple cask regime allows the spirit flavours to sing, showing off the distillery’s malty, biscuity flavours, with a soft vanilla – apple influence. Excellent.
