Oak is evident, a pleasing mix of the vanillin and cedar, all integrating well with notes of chocolate, blackcurrants, cloves, cassis, bergamot, licorice and tobacco leaves. This is in great form – finely balanced with excellent length and silky tannins. A cracking example of what this variety can do from Coonawarra. 96 pts.”
