An un-aged spirit from Sydney’s Archie Rose distillery, which showcases a version of their new make that will eventually become whisky.
The urban distillery, which first fired up in February 2015, is distilling both single malt and rye whiskies and this White Rye release is an amalgamtion of the two styles, blended specifically for release without aging.
With both rye and malted barley in the mash, this has been double distilled.
A complex sipper on its own, there’s elements of pepper spice, a hint of smoke and sweet barley. Also being used in cocktails by the adventerous.
