Domaine la Milliere

Châteauneuf-du-Pape

milliere.jpg

Purchased by Fernand Arnaud in 1940, Domaine la Milliere currently owns 14 hectares of vines in Carbrieres, located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The Grenache vines are between 80-100 years old with some of the oldest vines planted in 1891. The Domaine is certified organic with a biodynamic approach in both the vineyard and the winery. All fruit is manually harvested and the Domaine has worked hard to plant fruit trees, introduce beehives, and a range of flora and fauna throughout their vineyards to increase biodiversity. Domaine la Milliere also produce an incredibly rare Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc in very small amounts.

Maison Antech utilises the Mediterranean influence of the area combined with the freshness from the nearby Pyrenees to form the backbone of their wines. The estate is currently run by Françoise Antech, a sixth generation family member and fervent advocate for social and cultural action in her region. When she isn’t tending to the vineyard, she can be found volunteering with local student organizations, art collectives, and resource groups for people looking to re-enter the workforce.

Bandol

The Estate now covers approximately 7 hectares. Philippe Damiano is part of the fourth generation who works these lands. First used in market gardening, they have gradually been converted into vineyards. The lands are all located on rare and very ancient geological formations of the Triassic (limestone, dolomite, gypsum and cargneule), giving the vines their exceptional character. On these plots, are found the preferred grape variety for Bandol Wines: Mourvèdre, representing 70% of the plantations.

ansuma-op-image.png

Jean-François Ranvier and François Dauvergne set out with a goal to build a brand focusing on the great regions in the Rhone Valley and the grape growers in these areas. In 2004, with no chateau, vines, and little funding they set out to approach the top growers with their passion and enthusiastic idea. The wines from Dauvergne and Ranvier express the unique terroir of the sub-regions of the Rhone Valley while providing incredible value for the consumer, these are simply some of the best bang-for-buck Crozes-Hermitage, Gigondas, Saint Joseph, and Cote-Rotie you'll find!
