Glen Elgin is a workhorse distillery from the Diageo stable, much of what they produce is reserved for a number of blends for which it is a main ingredient of. The distillery has worm tubs, but a long fermentation (80 to 120 hours) and a slow distillation give the distillery a fruity new make with honey and tangerine flavours.
The Whisky Cellar was founded by Keith Bonnington, a Keeper Of The Quaich, and is based out of Edinburgh. Before branching out on his own, Bonnington spend almost two decades in the Scotch industry with 11 years at Edrington working with Macallan, Highland Park and Glenrothes.
