The original expression from Melbourne's Starward distillery, a single malt matured in ex-apera casks then into a solera vat for marriage before bottling.
A shortage of apera (Australian sherry) casks meant that production began to be outstripped by demand and the Solera has now become an allocation-based release at certain times throughout the year.
Starward's Nova and double grain Two-Fold have replaced the Solera as the core lines.
Rich, with lots of jammy red and tropical fruits. Dry.
