Starward Octave Barrel Single Malt Australian Whisky

Part of Starward's limited edition Projects series, this release was matured in barrels which previously held Yalumba's widely acclaimed "Octavius Shiraz". The Octavius is the only red wine in the world aged in 100L octave-sized barrels. These small, wine-soaked American oak barrels help to create a flavourful, rich single malt.

Official Tasting Notes: 

Nose: Rich, full-bodied expression. Red fruit, raisins, ripe peach, caramel and toasty oak

Palate: Viscous and long, dark forest fruits, and a toasted oak backbone 

Finish: Toasted marshmallow on the finish
