This is a tribute to our beautiful rescue greyhound buddy. 15% of all sales (wholesale & online) will be donated to Amazing Greys. They are a volunteer-run private greyhound rescue in Naarm/Melbourne passionate about rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming unwanted greyhounds.
All money donated will go directly towards the health and wellbeing of rescued greyhounds, including essential vet and dental care, bedding and foster supplies, R+ behavioural training, food and transport.
Brewed with 100% Australian grown grains. Floor malted pilsner, Australian ale, wheat & raw wheat from House of Malt (VIC). Australian rolled spelt & rolled rye - hopped w/ Saaz (CZ) & Celeia (SL) in the boil to 27 IBU.
This beer went through primary fermentation in a puncheon (500L) and a hogshead (300L) for 10 weeks. This was a co-fermentation with our house saison strain, brett. brux & brett. claus. The ageing time was kept short to keep the funk restrained and retain a young, vibrant product.
On November 27th 2021, we blended both barrels together and bottle conditioned for 8 weeks.
Aromas of doughy bread, dusty donut peaches & lemon pith. Bright & lifted.
On the palate it is a lovely interplay between yeast, funk & hop character. Full of apricot skin and peppercorns. Finishes dry, elevated carbonation & super crisp.
This beer is refined & simple yet complex, just like Buddy.
