A single cask peated Ledaig from the Tobermoray distillery on the Isle Of Mull, bottled by Signatory Vintage.
Cask #700556 was distilled 7 June 2007 and bottled 4 June 2020, three days before it would be 13-years-old. Matured in a refill sherry butt the cask yielded 614 bottles and 60.1%.
Ledaig is renowned for its dirty, industrial peat reminiscent of coal fires but with an underlying sweetness. Sherry casks accentuate that grit.
Ledaig is the peated line of the Tobermory distillery, located on the Isle Of Mull. The distillery has traditionally distilled peated and unpeated whiskies in a 50/50 split. The heavily peated spirit released under Ledaig, a former name of the distillery.
