Shirataki-Shuzo is establised in 1855 at Echigo Yuzawa in Niigata prefecture, which is ideal climate of making skae. Echigo Yuzawa is famous for heavy snowfall and hot springs.
This Jozen is aged carefully at very low termperature, and with age comes pleasant maturity. The two year casking makes for a complex but mellow aroma of lychee and dried fruits and a pleasant tinge of acidity. The finish is deep and rich.
