An easy-drinking entry level sake from Shirakawa.
The Komedakenosake is a junmai – so made with no added alcohol, only rice water and koji – and is light bodied, with a clean polished rice nose and a malty backbone. Equal parts sweet and dry.
The rice polish ratio is 78% (that is, 78% of the original grain is left).
Best served room temperature or slightly cold.
The Shirakawa brewery is located in the Nishig? village of the Nishishirakawa District on Honshu, Japan’s main island.
