A refreshing dry-sweet sake from Shirakawa, presented in a 1.8 litre bottle.
The Aizubandaisan 1.8L is a clean, refreshing and excellent quality futsu-shu (Table Sake), an easy drinking style of sake accounting for 90% of all sake consumed in Japan. normally seen as lower qaulity, the Aizubandaisan 1.8L begs to differ.
The rice polish ratio is 78%.
Oak Barrel tasting notes:
Nose: very clean with rice husk and suble fruit (apple?). Approachable and crisp – compared to the palate.
Palate: Prominent rice, milky, subtle tropical fruits.
Finish: Short-to-medium, inviting.
Comment: Quite crisp, excellent with food or as an easy drinking sake.
Best served chilled or room temperature.
