A limited edition, cask strength single malt Canadian whisky from the Shelter Point farm distillery.
This has been drawn from two triple-distilled casks of single malt and vatted with two casks of rye whisky. Very limited Australian allocation.
Official tasting notes:
“Fragrant on the nose with apricots, rum raisins and sticky toffee pudding. The palate is sweet and warming with candied ginger, nougat, honey blossom and pineapple. The satisfying finish is incredibly long with an assortment of spices, cherry wood and salt.”
Shelter Point was founded in 2009 in British Columbia after Patrick Evans, a dairy farmer turned barley grower, decided to move into whisky. The Shelter Point farm was bought in 2005 and the distillery itself established in 2011. A seaside farm, they are one of the few whisky distilleries in the world to grow their barley and distil their whisky on site. The first release was May 2016 and we have seen small Australian allocations since.
