Description

This one is a fantastic pick by The Whisky Jury.  Loch Lomond is a distillery that wears many hats, producing more styles of whisky than one can shake a glencairn at. This Croftengea is mildly peated, with a rustic, earnest distillery character coming through from start to finish.  Wet earth, glistening citrus and exotic fruits, and a wonderful oiliness to tie it all together.

Half of this whisky is rolling down a damp meadow-y hill, like Kate Bush in Wuthering Heights, whilst the other half is kicking back and relaxing in Manilla. Or perhaps just a first class ticket from Heathrow to the tropics…

50.7%, Bourbon Cask, 1 of 247 bottles

Based in Belgium (Mechelen), The Whisky Jury is an independent bottler who began out of passion for sharing whisky. Old whisky or not? famous or ‘never heard of’? It doesn’t matter. Quality is king. In times where single cask whisky is extremely expensive, The Whisky Jury try its best to keep prices as low as possible, so these bottles will be opened and shared amongst friends.
